To determine the correct size door, simply measure the width (A) and height (B) of your pet.
(A) Measure the widest point of your pet's shoulder.
(B) Measure from the top of your pet's back (just behind their head) to the bottom of chest.
Pet door models have different size openings. Just make sure your new pet door's opening is both wider and taller than your pet's measurements to ensure they can comfortably pass through.

Dofficult to return. Make sure it fits.
We have had this door for our dog for about 8 years. When we moved we had to buy a new one. The door is a bit too big, and the return policy is not accommodating. Trying to make it fit.

dont order if your not 100% sure
better off buying from 3rd party like depot if you aren't 100% sure I ordered a large by accident ( or the wrong one was sent still don't know) from Home Depot and returned. Decided to order from the company directly. This door did not fit right- had 2 people try to install. This company doesn't supply return labels and its $200 to ship back- min you it cost less. Sucks I am stuck with it and still do not have a pet door

Riley loves it!
We had purchased another brand when we first got our puppy but he quickly outgrew it. Replaced it with this and it was easier to install and seals much better. Dog hits it at full speed with no issues!

We bought one of these doors about five years ago and have taken it to 5 houses with us now. Indispensable! And yes, that is a lot of moving. Just bought another and ordered the wrong size. They were super great about the return and I got the size I needed. Highly recommend!

A Great Pet Door! Just buy it!
I have but two pet doors from ideal pet products. I had to buy a second one because we moved and the sliding glass door was different. Both arrived intact in excellent condition. Please don’t hesitate to buy from this company. We bought the chubby cat version. Many small dogs could easily use this one. The key to the store is that you can lock it closed at any time. Rather than leaving your sliding glass door cracked open, you can save a great deal of energy by having this little entrance/exit.
