Nationally acclaimed pet wellness advocate and radio personality Tracie Hotchner knows her pet doors. Throughout her life as an animal lover, she’s had many dogs (plus a penchant for rescuing “big energetic Weimaraners”), moved many times, and spent decades trying different doors in different houses for different dogs – which is why we’re so flattered by her recent review of our product on RadioPetLady.com.

She describes her first encounter with Ideal Pet as stumbling upon “a door to end all dog doors.” At the Global Pet Expo in Orlando, Tracie was visiting a booth that we had with our partner Eyenimal and spotted our Designer Series Ruff-Weather™ Pet Door on display. “I stared at the demo door because it looked so much better than anything I’d ever seen.” We (of course) sent her a door to try.

Since installing it in her home, she’s found she loves the molded plastic frame, double flap feature, and the fact that her pup can see out the door from inside (but not the other way around). Tracie also appreciates the sturdy construction: “The way the flap moved and closed was so much smoother and tighter than the ordinary dog doors I’d been getting.”
