To determine the correct size door, simply measure the width (A) and height (B) of your pet.
(A) Measure the widest point of your pet's shoulder.
(B) Measure from the top of your pet's back (just behind their head) to the bottom of chest.
Pet door models have different size openings. Just make sure your new pet door's opening is both wider and taller than your pet's measurements to ensure they can comfortably pass through.

Flap is too short. (the 17 inch flap)
The flap is of good quality but is about 1/16 to 1/8 of an inch to short thus allowing a cold draft to come through at the bottom of the flap. Sounds like you have the wrong replacement flap for your door. All parts are replaceable
Didn't have to replace the whole doggie door when my boxer bent one of the flaps. Been in 2 yrs so I'm ok with that.

Holes drilled too close to the top edge, concerned that with 2 large dogs it will not hold up. Worked as advertised. easy to install. check your model before purchasing. there are atleast 2 versions of replacement screens.

Concerned about durability
The holes in the replacement flap are punched so close to the top of the flap that I am concerned they will rip loose very quickly just like the last one. At $40 per single flap, I cannot afford to keep replacing them every few months.
