How to measure your Ideal Pet

To determine the correct size door, simply measure the width (A) and height (B) of your pet.

(A) Measure the widest point of your pet's shoulder.

(B) Measure from the top of your pet's back (just behind their head) to the bottom of chest.

Pet door models have different size openings. Just make sure your new pet door's opening is both wider and taller than your pet's measurements to ensure they can comfortably pass through.

    It's nice to be able to replace worn pet flaps as they age. After my Great Dane goes through the doggie door a few hundred times, it'll stretch out and not seal as well for cold winter usage. By being able to get replacement flaps keeps door as it was when new.

    Holes not lined up

    After 2 years in my home, I needed to replace the flap on the doggie door. After searching for the replacement part for the brand of door, I ordered this product. It was easy to install but after 1 week was already hanging crooked. When I looked at it, I noticed the holes are not even so it hangs crooked. I hove one inside and out and both are doing the same thing. Very disappointing.     Flap is too short. (the 17 inch flap)

    The flap is of good quality but is about 1/16 to 1/8 of an inch to short thus allowing a cold draft to come through at the bottom of the flap.
