How to Measure Your Ideal Pet
To determine the correct size door simply measure the width (A) and height (B) of your pet.
(A) Measure the widest point of your pets shoulder
(B) Measure from the top of your pets back (just behind his head) to the bottom of chest.

This is the second time that I have been able to fix my ideal pet products dog door, once with a flap and now with the magnetic strip. Purchased the magnet as a replacement part. Delivery was very quick. Magnet popped right into place. Door restored to full up operations.

I had to replace this retainer bar because the previous one broke from being kicked every time the dogs ran in and out. It's just plastic, so it can't stand being kicked repeatedly forever. The same thing is going to happen to this new one. Could they make it out of aluminum, so it would last longer? Yeah, they could. Will they? Probably not. Next time it breaks, I'll just replace the entire door with a different brand product.

Made flap work perfectly

Had to get s new flap but old bar was broken. This new one made it all work perfectly. Would like magnets to be a little stronger, but still works great.

Had to replace flap but original strip was broken so the new one snapped into place and now flap closes properly
