To determine the correct size door, simply measure the width (A) and height (B) of your pet.
(A) Measure the widest point of your pet's shoulder.
(B) Measure from the top of your pet's back (just behind their head) to the bottom of chest.
Pet door models have different size openings. Just make sure your new pet door's opening is both wider and taller than your pet's measurements to ensure they can comfortably pass through.

It fit perfectly replacing the old one we had. Installation was very easy. And taking out the old one which was the same model as the new one was no problem. It literally only took minutes to install. Very grateful to find the exact one I had prior. This lasted me over 25 years and I only replaced it because I was replacing everything else so it would look new. Very good quality.

I purchased the aluminum and glass insert for a sliding patio door in 2000. I have two large dogs that come and go all day, so the door gets a lot of use. This replacement is a tad larger than the original, so I used a few pieces of 1X1 wood trim to make it fit. In 22 years, I have only had to replace the frame twice. Very happy with the quality of the product and customer service at Ideal.

Old Style is the Best
We put the dog door in 15 yrs ago! I have replaced the flaps three times and the inside frame once. It looks like a new door every time. Please don't stop making the Old Style! Oh, and we have 3 large dogs that go in and out at least 50 times a day!

Purchased frame, flap and attachment bar. Fit perfectly. Quality is great. I do wish the screws were included. However, old screws worked fine (we live in Arizona, so deterioration was minimal).

We love your doggy door replacement parts! We’ve had the doggy door for over 10 years, and I’m so afraid you will discontinue these older models! We have to buy replacements a couple times a year, not because of our dog, but because of the neighbor’s dog. He’s a rambunctious border collie, and when he stays with us his favorite activity is barging through that door.

i made a door through a wall using two dog door kits of this type. When it wore out I tried to find a replacement and it seemed it was NLA. I was so glad to find these parts as using something else would have meant re-cutting the hole in the wall.

Glad to find replacement parts for my door, have replaced the frame several times. Bought the assembly back in 1997 and still in place. Mine has seen a lot of use, my dogs that I have bought the door for have long since chased their final ball.
