Plastic- Rectangular Logo Replacement Flap

I appreciate that this company still produces the replacement style of door. Shipping is always efficient, But they just don’t last. They tear very easily just under where the outer screws attach to the door. Additionally, the holes in the plastic seem to be too large and it’s getting more difficult to fit the flap to the actual door frame. Again, glad the replacement is available, just wish it was a more durable product.

The product is great, the instructions were lacking. Have one person on the outside and one person on the inside would make this a 1-2 minute job. Being a single person yet annoyed and determined, it easily took me 45 minutes to an hour to accomplish removing and replacing 7 screws with the new flap attached. To me, it would be helpful if second person were recommended, or if it stated "holding from the outside, replace the screws on the inside". My sliding door is non-functioning and to open it on that cold day would have made it an even bigger project. I did manage to accomplish the installation from the outside by rolling part of the flap up, while holding it in place from the outside, with my arm going through the door to use a screwdriver to put the screws in from the inside. Like I said, I am stubborn and was annoyed enough to keep at it.

I have been using these dog doors for some 20 years. They are very nice, but not very durable. My border collies gets very nervous in thunderstorms, and he has destroyed several flaps. I have had to order replacement flaps some ten times, and the replacements nor not inexpensive. I wish the material were more durable.

I will purchase products from you as needed.

I have had this product in my home for over 20 years and really do love it. However I find myself having to more frequently replace the flap because the top attachments keep tearing away. I have consulted with your team and have over the years followed the advice given to use large washers in the area where the top screws are attached. Don’t put a lot of faith into lasting any longer but we will see. Thus the reason for ordering multiple replacements

I love this plastic flap for my dog door. It is thick enough and fits snug enough to keep the air from coming in or going out of the house but it's not too heavy for my 10lb dog to lift. I'm so glad they still have these on hand because I cannot replace the entire dog door for various reasons.

In my previous review I complained about the holes along the top edge. I was wrong. I was not applying it correctly. Once I figured that out, it fits and works perfectly!

This flap is the perfect size that I needed, but the holes at the top are not all round and they are a bit large. I had to purchase washers to keep the flap from sliding past the screws.

These old style replacement flaps are very hard to find. Ideal had the best price I could find. The shipment was received very quickly. Thank you!
