To determine the correct size door, simply measure the width (A) and height (B) of your pet.
(A) Measure the widest point of your pet's shoulder.
(B) Measure from the top of your pet's back (just behind their head) to the bottom of chest.
Pet door models have different size openings. Just make sure your new pet door's opening is both wider and taller than your pet's measurements to ensure they can comfortably pass through.

I purchased my original Patio pet door over 10 years ago at Home Depot. Great product and easy to install. It was perfect and durable. I have had to replace the clear plastic flap twice and neither one was a good fit. The first one arrived rolled up and there was a kink on the edge and would never seal properly. The last one arrived in a flat package with heavy cardboard bracing and was in perfect condition. Thanks for that. However, the elongated holes that allow for adjusting the position of the flap are not big enough to adjust the flap so it will close completely. I love the product but next time i think i'll get the whole door assembly and not the replacement flap.

we have 2 great danes, one who is 170 lbs. and this door has held up for several years. the other dane is 111 and hits the door hard both ways. only reason for replacement need. product and service dept. top rate. price is about what you pay for quality.

didnt fit. my door has different screw pattern
Every other part I ordered for, however this part did not. It seems to be a different screw spacing than the rest of the replacement parts I have ordered. Weird. Can't seem to find the part I need and the website doesn't make it that helpful. I will likely just keep my old broken part instead of fight through website again. It would be great if you guys offered replacement package options. It's a lot to click through and find every part you need. I imagine 90% of home owners experienced the same thing I ran into: once it was time to replace some things it was time to replace everything.
